If any of you took time out of your day to read our home page, then you know what we are ALL about.
If we have peaked your interest at all, then you must have landed yourself right here on this page.
We are proud to post land or barns and land that our company currently owns already.
From small farming operations to big, Farmland Opportunities has them all. One of our biggest from players is Jon Hansen.
Although the account for this site is under Hansens information, he is not the owner or founder, but only one of the 3 people that had the grand idea to make Farmland or farm assets a stock investment.
Before Hansen, Hansen, and Ross came fourth with this idea, they owned small farming operations already.
J. Hansen in particular has is small sow and finisher barns wrapped into farmland opportunities.
"I knew, going into this, that we would all need an initial investment or some sort of equity to play a key roll as the founders', says Hansen.
Hansen has 2 small, portable by trailer, farrowing barns, and 1 small finisher barn to raise pigs out in.
To the left you will see an image of one of Jon Hansens FIRST farrowing units.
"I used these small barns to start my home farming operation", says Hansen.
"After years of me talking about it when I was young, I finally made it happen".
Through out the years people told Hansen that his idea was ridiculous and that their was no room for small farmers anymore.
After about 2 years of doing his own operation, Hansen realized that it was not that their was NO ROOM for small farmers, but that the corporations and companies that were set to buy his products, made it near impossible for him to sell unless he meet certain company regulations.
"I sold pigs to Hormel first, the to Tyson, and even to Farmland, and they were all a bust. They find anyway that can to pay you next to NOTHING for your livestock or product", States Hansen.
